After an extra time burst of energy our Junior ladies have secured their place in the junior A championship next season.  Our junior girls played Ballinameen in Enfield on Sunday last in the Junior A relegation playoff.  A strong Ballinameen really put it up to Croans in the opening half  leaving  Croans  trailing by two points at the half way mark.  Croans were fortunate to find the back of the net in their opening score of the second half, putting Croans ahead by one point.  As the final whistle sounded the teams were drawn, Croans 2 -7 Ballinameen 1-10.  Croans dug deep for the extra time ten minute a side decider.  Ballinameen appeared to fade as croans netted an amazing 6-11 to 1-12 victory securing their place in the Junior A championship for 2018.  Well done to all the girls and a big thank you to the management team, Brendan Burke, Brendan Keegan, Lorcan Glancy and Yvonne White and also thank you to Charlotte McGann for her assistance.
Our minor girls will play St. Brigids in the next round of the championship on Friday evening next in Kiltoom under lights.  Time for this game will be confirmed during the week.
