Development update:

Our development squads are busy with preparations this weather as training continues for all. The U15’s and the U17’s train in the community collage grounds in Lisnamult on Saturday mornings and the U13’s also train at the community collage but on Wednesday evenings. This project is the first of its kind in Roscommon ladies football and is proving to be a huge success so big thanks goes to the coaches who are giving up their time to coach and organize these squads in which will surely be of benefit to Roscommon ladies going forward. A reminder the Connacht annual development blitz day takes place next Sunday in the centre of excellence in Ballyhanuis beginning at 10am. This will host both the u13 and the u15 blitz days and Roscommon will be represented with two squads in each age group a great achievement for Roscommon. We wish players and coaches an enjoyable day out.

U15’s enjoy successful day in recent challenges:

Meanwhile our U15 squad brought two teams to Menlough in Galway to take on a strong home side in two challenge matches. The girls were very nervous at the start but as the games went  on, they grew in confidence and ended up winning the second game. Considering it was the first time most of those girls experienced county football and that we had a number of strong players missing the future looks bright. Great day out for all now they can look forward to the Blitz day out.
